Provisional Sum مبلغ احتياطي
Definition
A sum allowed in the contract for work whose details are not yet defined, spent on instruction and with documentation, and settled at its actual value in the final account rather than at the contractor’s discretion.
Example
A provisional sum of SAR 200,000 was allowed for external works.

Covering scopes that are not mature at tender.
